This terrace gave...It's The Stotesbury Mansion! This terrace gave way into the Formal Gardens; where I spent many days playing when I was a child. My parents purchased some of the property of the estate that Mrs. Stotesbury sold in 1950, and built the house I was born into; and as soon as I could walk, I'd accompany my sisters as we ran through the woods behind our house, to arrive in the Formal Gardens on the other side. My fondest childhood memories are of playing on the grounds of this extraordinary estate; and I was so blessed to do so. I was stunned when I learned it had been demolished by money-mongering developers. This mansion met many criteria on the list to qualify as a Historic Landmark - yet, no one prevented its demise.
