HANGING-SUMMER Designed and Executed by J. M. and A. T. Hewlett, New York |
James Monroe Hewlett designed the sky mural at Grand Central Terminal. The village of Hewlett on Long Island is named after his family. Besides a noted muralists Hewlett co-founded the architectural firm of Lord & Hewlett.
Who A. T. was or the whereabouts of the hanging is unknown???
Hewlett's wife was named Anna, his daughter was Anne (who married the futurist Buckminster Fuller, with whom Hewlett started a concrete block company), and there was a son, Arthur Thomas, so any of those three would be my chief guesses for A.T. Anne Hewlett Fuller herself practiced architecture.
