On October 1955, the Duchess of Windsor was the guest of honor at "Vikings Cove", along with Ann and Bill Woodward. That night Mrs. Woodward mistook her husband for a prowler and shot him twice, killing him instantly.

ReplyDeleteI live near VC, theres a network of tunnels connecting the estate that are now sealed off, although a visible entrance is present at near their gaming parlor. The families that reside near the beach use the garage as kayak storage. Neat!
ReplyDeleteIs this house near Cedar Swamp Road? and was GF Bakers house still there in 1940? I believe my grandfather may have worked in the home, he later worked for the Mortimer Family in Tuxedo Park
